Produced from the “New York” through the “Florida” models, the Otto Link Double Ring was a favorite piece of legendary jazz saxophonists. To this day, the unique tone of the New York Link and early days Florida Double Ring still attracts many tenor players worldwide. However, as it was made over 70 years ago, it is no wonder that a piece in good condition is tremendously expensive and scarce to find, today.

The Gottsu Double Ring is made based on rigorous and meticulous analysis of that piece – fully redesigned using Gottsu’s own quality and expertise. The mouthpiece is machined from Gottsu’s secret “Vintage Brass” alloy, which perfectly replicates brass of the golden era thanks to the use of X-ray analysis. Furthermore, to eliminate the “muddy feel” that the original double ring often has, we’ve exquisitely added the flavor of Florida’s mid- to late-period Super Tone Masters. The result is a lustrous, full-bodied, “powerful, vintage, dark sound” that makes you want to blow deeply through the instrument. Also, by slightly lengthening the beak, we’ve succeeded in adding thickness to the mid-range and producing even richer overtones. The greatest feature of this fully renewed 2026 edition is its shallower, more gentle baffle, which contrasts that of the Master model (which strives for maximum depth). In addition, new rails have been added to the mouthpiece in order to accomodate the Gottsu sliding ligature.
