New standardized opening sizes for 2026
In order to make the sizing of all of our various mouthpieces clear and straightforward, we will standardize the
labeling of opening sizes according to the inch system – with the exception the Jazz Solist line and Clarinet
mouthpieces. The commonly used numerical sizing system (for example, 6, 7, 7*) is not clear and can be
easily mistaken, especially with various manufacturers using their own sizing standards. Therefore, we will be
replacing that system on our various mouthpiece lines that currently utilize it (such as the VI, Custom, Bebop
and Jazz Metal). We will also unify the position of the size markings to be engraved on the table on all of our
mouthpieces.
This change will take effect on all orders starting at the beginning of 2026. We look forward to continuing to
bring you superb, enjoyable mouthpieces in the new year.
